Say hello to Fellowship Entertainment.Embracer Group has today announced plans to create a secondary publishing label called Fellowship Entertainment, in order to "capture the full potential of the high-quality assets" that the group currently owns.The Swedish game publisher says that it hopes to spin off Fellowship Entertainment in calendar year 2027, and that the new label will become "an IP-led entertainment company" and "the stewards of The Lord of the Rings, Tomb Raider and many other great intellectual properties".Read the full article on purexbox.com

A new technology officer has also been appointed.Coming by way of both The Game Business and The Verge (paywalled) this evening, Microsoft has hired a pair of new Xbox executives - including a Chief Strategy Officer to "strengthen the console side of Xbox"; as The Game Business puts it.That new CSO is called Matthew Ball; an industry analyst who produces the annual 'The State of Video Gaming' report.
