Around a month ago i made a clean win7 sp1 64bit install on my 2010 laptop (previously 32 bit)
I know that my crap graphic card works good with DirectX 10 drivers but is incompatible with 11 ones.
Now, by default, win7 sp1 64bit install DirectX 11 that cause me issues with many games,
which try at first to use this setting
Wondering if i can avoid the DirectX11 first install, or a way to completely uninstall after...

Tried today, nothing about DirectX
i was reading online and seems the real issue is the fact that the 'until dx11 upgrade' is built in win 7 sp1 release and not added as a normal add/remove program, so very difficult (impossible?) to remove
So, seems i need to find an early win7 64 bit image, or a built release without directx... maybe

thanks for the input, btw

I have a 7pro machine and Legit 7pro disk right here, Win 7 installs 9,10 and 11

This mobo is DX10 only, and has no issues albeit cannot play DX11 games on this board without a Gcard that has DX11 support.

With that said, DX11 supports DX10 games, so im running DX11.1 on a DX10 board without issues here.

Make sure all of your libraries are up to date in terms of DX and visual C ect..

I remember having a similar issue, and it was out of date drivers and libraries

hope this helps:)

Hey Pinky  Smile

Absolutely randomly effect on my side
probably i can write a book about all the paradox i have seen lol

the previous win7 32 bit was an early build release updated until directx 10;
reading the log text of the games, all was fine, and the working ones start correctly

the 64 bit version i'm trying instead is an official pro sp1 (as yours);
if i read in the same games log text, many of them try (without success) to use a lot of dx11 modalities (and resolutions)
before crashing or 'switch' finally to dx10

now the funny part
i have 3 version of mine graph card drivers, an early one, an intermediate and the latest ones;
with the early one i reached to make run a couple of only dx11 games  Huh

i no longer have certainty  Smile

Dual core 3 GB ram, Intel 4 series express chipset family video card (throw tomato here  Smile  )

At the end of the day, i think it's a decent XP / win7 32 bit system, nothing more
it hates os newer than 7, as the owner lol

there is an hate/love thread here around... Lol
