I like sidescrollers and platformers, as well as horror games with a creepy atmosphere..... I dig musou games and great hack n' slash titles too! FPS games like the NOLF Series and Turok.... and lots of fighting games to play with my brother....

changed a lot through the years
from 8 until 20 i remember to have played A LOT of soccer games...
commodore soccer, microprose soccer, kick off, sensible soccer, international superstar soccer, super sidekicks, arcade soccer games, until pes on playstation/xbox.
one day, randomly i decided that this genre has broke my balls lol

my evergreens are mainly 2d games of platform, shmup or jrpg genre
the 8/16 bit era remains my gold mine
atm i have in mind SWITCHBLADE game, someone remind this ?

Vs Fighting games, Shmups (horizontal, vertical, old school, bullet hell, twin-stick), J-RPG's (turn based more-so than "action"), S-RPG's, Survival Horror, Rhythm games (although it depends on the style and the music)... they're my faves, but I play most 'styles' of game.
TBH, I'd find it hard to work out my least favourite genre.

Horizontal Shoot Em Up's (SEU's) such as R-Type/Nemesis are my fave genra. However I like PUZZLE Games and "Hack n Slash" RPG's such as Shining Force NEO/EXA

Also love Platformers like Crash Bandicoot and JET SET WILLY/MANIC MINER :)

Game types I hate

Turn Based Fighters like Final Fantasy.... Turn based games should have died with the Megadrive/SNES
Driving (Standard racing)

In fact, I can count all the driving games I play on one hand....

WRPGs for sure,followed by Visual Novels and story based games in general.

I love fighters and horror games mostly, though I do tend to play a little of everything except sports games. Still waiting for Dino Crisis to get the Resident Evil 2 treatment.

^That would be awesome, loved that game. I really hope they'll do it. Sequel was good as well, but i was little disappointed that they made it more like arcade-ish third person shooter instead of survival horror.


I play almost everything, but game types or genres i enjoy the most are survival horror (my favs first three Resident Evil and Silent Hill games), RPG (Final Fantasy Tactics, Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines, Grandia 2), platformer (Super Mario Bros, Crash Bandicoot, Sonic the Hedgehog games), fighting (Tekken, Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter, Dark Stalkers games), first-person shooter (Blood, Duke Nukem 3D, Doom, Quake, Unreal games), shmup (horizontal and vertical - R-Type, Battle Garegga, Darius Gaiden, DoDonPachi) and beat 'em up (Cadillacs and Dinosaurs, Streets of Rage, The Punisher, Final Fight).
