I'm Plut0nio#5930 on Discord. I'm currently playing around with a PSP-1001 and I was able to successfully install a dual microSD to Memory Stick Pro Duo adapter with 2x32 GB (64 GB) of storage along with PRO-C(2?) 6.61. Nice of this site to finally be revived again. Look forward to getting to know you all!

My days with the PSP-1001 were good days. I should get one again.. though knowing me I'd get a 3001 just because of that screen, lol.

Welcome aboard.

Welcome aboard.

Yeah, the PSP-1000 from what I heard is the most hackable and able to recover from being bricked, but it seems to have the least amount of features compared to most other models other than maybe the "Street" model E1000. Even then the E1000 has USB charging and 64 MB of RAM, the former of which would've been nice to have as my PSP didn't come with a charger and I had to wait a week for it to come from eBay:

As for the screen, I sure hope microLED screens become a thing. A replacement screen for PSP-1000s (and PSPs in general) using that technology would be kick-ass: super-fast response times, no ghosting, thinner, lighter, brighter, and all while using less battery power (even less than OLED at the same brightness) with virtually zero risk of burn-in (unlike with OLED)
