So until yesterday I hadn't found a single great gaming deal all year. Of course, part of that was the fact that i have pretty much not exited the house in two months lol, since the Corona situation got serious. However, a couple of days ago a Seller i know in my usual market called me and told me he got a nice N64 deal for me, and he will hold it for me if i will come soon. That was enough for me to, after a couple of days and some precautions, go to the market (which took me over an hour each way. being home for awhile really makes you forget how strong and annoying the traffic is sometimes lol). There i saw a few more gaming items too which i acquired. Thought to share my happiness with my first great gaming deal this year with you guys Smile

For the equivalent of 6.5$ in total, I got the following:

-a PS2 DVD Remote Control (found randomly within a bin of different remote controls the seller had. Doesn't have the adapter, but thankfully that is only needed on the very first model of the PS2.

-a Gameboy. The cover for the screen and the battery cover are both gone, but it works perfectly apart from that.

-Metroid 2. Was inside the Gameboy's Cartridge Slot.

-a Japanese region N64. I Have had a couple of NA ones, but this is my 1st working Japanese one. Didn't have the expansion pack cover, but I Had a non-working N64 so i took the expansion pack cover off that and added it to it. Didn't have its AV Cables but the seller said he will find them and give them to me. Works fine other than the reset button not working (which, from my research, seems like a simple problem to fix). It came with 2 controllers, but both were really dirty and the Joysticks on both of them look beyond ruined and are flailing all over the place when the controllers are moved (although, surprisingly enough, the joysticks still relatively work. not really sensitive, but work).

-8 N64 games. They are:
--Blastdozer (the Japanese version of Blast Corps, and the only Japanese region game of the 8)
--NBA In The Zone '98 (NA)
--NHL Blades Of Steel '99 (NA)
--Super Mario 64 (Player's Choice Version, NA)
--Diddy Kong Racing (PAL, Cover looks washed out)
--Nuclear Strike 64 (PAL)
--The New Tetris (PAL)
--Bomberman 64 (PAL)
Surprisingly enough, as you can see, they are from all regions, and the majority are PAL even (which means this N64 can't run them at all). Not sure how this weird collection of titles happened. Maybe the previous owner had a PAL N64 originally that stopped working then he got this Japanese one for really cheap? The power Plug is PAL too, which may support this theory.

As you can expect, I was very glad that i found this haul, and I always enjoy sharing my finds with my friends here. any thoughts/comments/etc are welcome Smile

Nice pickup! I miss going to garage sales! I estimated to my wife the other day we've probably missed out on a thousand already this year, and since people are scared of a virus that kills .2% of the people that contract it there probably won't be very many all summer. ?

But like I said nice pickups! You always get really awesome deal!

Nice find!

Especially the original Gameboy along with Metroid 2. I have a great memories with original GB.

Metroid 2 has an battery save. Is that cartridge battery dead or still working?

I tried to get one euro of PS2 remote control without any luck. So I dump it into garbage.

Update: Fixed the Stuck Reset button on the N64! It was really jammed, but i managed to get it out and clean it, and now it works perfectly again Smile.

Thanks! and Indeed, me being friends with and a regular customer of that seller was the reason I got it. He could have sold it without calling me if he wanted to (a guy did come twice to buy it from him actually), but he called me and held onto it for a bit for me because of our history together. He would have still sold it if i didn't come within a couple of days though, so it is good that i did come XD.

and Indeed, hopefully the worst has passed and the world is on the path to recovery now Smile

I was surprised when I found Metroid 2 inside it too, as most handheld systems I find don't have any game inside them (probably the sellers sell the games separate? or simply lose them over time?). This was actually the EU release of Metroid 2, with the german writing on the side.

Thankfully, the battery was still alive and Immediately loaded the previous owner's save when I tested it Smile.

Surprising to hear about that, since from looking online it seems to sell for a few bucks.
