32bit windows xp has some limited support for older 16bit dos applications

Any 32bit Windows can natively run any 16bit exe, or at least try to do so. No 64bit consumer OS from Microsoft supports 16bit Programs, I´m not familiar with the Server side of things, though I can´t imagine that it is possible there. Main reason why this is an issue is because some Programs and Games that are 32bit only themself use 16bit Installers, some of these where even released in the mid-00´s.

Funny enough when I played the first "Crysis" on my Win7 PC, it actually worked better in 32bit then in 64. 64bit was abit laggy..
but "Crysis Warhead" worked better in 64, even using the same PC
