I'm not at all into Jason Statham films, but I thoroughly enjoyed the Crank movies (particularly the first one) because of how much they felt like over the top video games... if Suda51 made films, they'd probably be something like Crank.

many Bruce Lee movies could be considered fathers of beat em up genre
Game of Death ie, with his 'several bosses on different floors' fight sequence (Kareem Abdul Jabbar lol) has surely inspired jappo programmers at age Smile

Game of Death was surely an inspiration for the classic Kung Fu Master: you have to go through several stages of a temple, each one has a boss and you do it in order to save your girlfriend (sister in the movie).

I was thinking, I know this will sound silly and all, but does Wreck-It Ralph count as a movie structured like vgame? I love all about that movie and is fun too, although I'm not sure if its based on a real life video game lol is it? if is not then.. damn! would be a neat idea for a game hehe Tongue
I've done questionable things.

... and if u think about it, "Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over" has also that same game-ish structure/atmosphere within, its a childish movie i know lol.. but i'm just saying, if you watched that movie you'll know what i'm talking about, tbh i never saw it that way b4 but i do now that im writing this and recalling some of the 3D scenes and few fragments of that movie like when they fight with giant robots while losing lives all the way lol x)

^^ never watched Enemy Mine, ill try it Smile

@Nux, now i must counterbalance Wreck-it Ralph and Spy Kids 3d (both ok Smile ) with some mature-only stuff...

Hotel Inferno is a gory splatter first person B movie decent imo

and his sequel 'Cathedral of pain' seems even better,
but i havent watched it yet Smile
