should i upgrade my PSP firmware

Yeah upgrade to 6.61 and use the CFW 6.61 PRO-C.
It's a lot more stable. Everything will still work like it did :)

Remember you want to PERMANENTLY CFW it. This way if the battery dies you don't have to reapply it.
ISO, CSO, eboot, homebrew will all work on PSP2000 cfw

I use 64gig Micro SD cards and single slot Adapter PRO DUO cards
It's not a bad price either for branded 64gig SD's

I'm on 6.20 with a permanent patch that boots into PRO-C2 custom firmware every time with all my mods and settings preserved and I intend to keep it that way. Then updated that sucker to 6.60 and then run CFW on it. It's basically foolproof at this point and turning the machine off and on reverts you back to stock firmware but i tend to stay away from homebrews or custom firmwares. I guess it would also depends on if you have a good collection of UMD's or plan on using PSN.
Hope it helped...

I would follow ZX81v2, he knows PSP and Ps2 and he is spot on about the permanent cfw. No pain in the arse reinstalling everytime you use it. Also psn is finished in a few months for the PS3, PSP and possible the PSvita? So enjoy that sweet psp for all its glory!
