Sometimes it's during a particular platform tough level, rpg final battle or shmup bossfight
sometimes it's only during a normal game session of a so-so/crappy title
the audio chips shoot out a powerful tune that make you think to put down the controller and pump up the volume

please post here your fave unz-unz moments lol

i want start with Jim Power, pc engine cd, 4th level boss

Streets of Rage 2 soundtrack absolutely blew me away as a kid. :) I was really amazed that my little Mega Drive could do music like that.

This is not in-game music, but it's really beautiful and i love that game. :) (Legend of Dragoon opening music)

I actually usually end up ripping the music if I like it that much.
I remember "Tristram" music from Diablo 1, I learned how to open a MPQ file and translate the wav to mp3.... Those were the days...
Diablo 2, meh easy ripping of tunes lol

I still listen to the "Tristram" music as it's an amazing bit of 12 string guitar.

Also game soundtracks are fun in BeatHazard :)

Some to try
Tempest 2000 / X3 / Any Jeff Minter game soundtrack...
WipeOut soundtrack
Devil May Cry Soundtrack
Raiden soundtracks

Diablo 1 e 2 tunes (amazing) would have been perfect also for mine 'sad moments' TIZ thread lol
and about Chris Huelsbeck nothing to add, real music fit in a bunch of Kbytes ❗

another bossfight tune i like a lot:
Last Hope DC

Lords of Thunder for PC Engine CD/TurboGrafx-CD has awesome soundtrack.

Here's music track from Bosque stage.

There is also a Sega CD version with re-recorded soundtrack but i still think that original version sounds better, more raw. :)
