Hey Goat Sim fans! I’m super excited to let you in on some behind-the-scenes details on Goat Simulator 3’s new expansion, Baadlands: Furry Road, which launches today for Xbox Series X|S.
In the beginning, the plan was to simply create a western-themed DLC. But as production started, we realized we had more fun leaning into the post-apocalypse of San Angora, the island on which Goat Simulator 3 takes place. We also knew early in development that we wanted to have a cool – and totally unique-to-our-franchise – vault that you would have to work to unlock, but what we put inside was discussed for quite a while longer…
To differentiate the world of Baadlands from the Multiverse of Nonsense, our first major DLC that we launched last year, we set out to make it as one big, coherent world, rather than a mix of several worlds. While at its core, Goat Simulator 3 is a sandbox experience designed for everyone, in Baadlands the world will fight back more than you might be used to, so seasoned goat-enjoyers should prepare for a bit more of a challenge!
In Baadlands, we wanted the moment-to-moment traversal to feel fresh and different. This time around, you will be able to drive your own personal motorcycle, which can be summoned at will like a trusty apocalyptic steed! Goats have never looked so cool, and with a variety of new customizations for both the goats, their baas and bike itself, we’re excited to see how you style yourselves as they ride the dunes.
As always, we’re introducing a variety of new Goat Gears, alongside motorcycles, and these will really push the limits of physics and movement. From overpowered Propeller Horns to some potentially dangerous experiments with fire…
We feel like we’ve really outdone ourselves when it comes to topping weird abilities. For example, there is one Goat Gear that is very hungry. And it was added for the same reason we make most things: it’s dumb and makes us laugh. There might also be a couple of Gears that allow you to earn a lot of currency quite fast, if you can figure out how to use them in clever ways around the Baadlands.
We don’t want to reveal too much for those excited to hunt down and unlock the Gears themselves, but there truly is something for everyone.
We’re excited and terrified to see how you end up breaking Goat Simulator 3 and our brand-new apocalyptic world. Did we consider cutting some of the most broken Goat Gears? Yes. But let’s be honest, with Goat Simulator, the best features are the bugs we found along the way.

A calamity has unfolded across San Angora, transforming the island into a vast desert. Nobody’s quite sure why, but let’s be honest… it was probably Pilgor’s fault. Again. Play as Baallistic Pilgor, the antihero and survivor of the apocalypse. Roam around the Baadlands on your motorcycle, butt heads with bizarre rival factions, establish your town and harass its citizens, and try to figure out what’s behind the mysterious vault. All this while covered in sand. KEY FEATURES: – You’re G.O.A.T! (still, always, forever) – Sand. So much sand. Enough sand to get everywhere. And I mean everywhere – You know the expression ‘when pigs fly’? It’s almost like that, but instead of a pig, it’s a goat. And instead of flying, the goat can ride a motorcycle. A customisable motorcycle. Woah – Explore a vast wasteland with familiar pre-apocalypse remnants hidden among the dunes – A new currency to acquire for all your apocalyptic needs. Finally, you can be broke in the game, just like in the real world. This simulation is getting too real y’all – Paint the town red with destruction or build it up like a productive member of society (but destruction is more fun) – New goats, gears, vehicles, achievements, and quests to keep your chaos addiction well-fed

Pilgor’s baaack! Gather your herd and venture forth into Goat Simulator 3; an all-new, totally realistic, sandbox farmyard experience that puts you back in the hooves of no one's favourite female protagonist. That’s right – we’re doing this again. The baa has been raised, and Pilgor is joined by other goats too. You can invite up to three friends in local or online co-op, create carnage as a team, or compete in mini-games and then not be friends anymore. Get ready for another round of udder mayhem. Lick, headbutt, and ruin your way through a brand new open world in the biggest waste of your time since Goat Simulator! We won’t tell you how to play (except in the tutorial), but merely provide the means to be the goats of your dreams. KEY FEATURES: – You can be a goat – Three of your friends can be goats too, and join you in local or online co-op – No really, there are so many goats. If you want to be fancy you can wear the skins of tall goats, stripey goats, and many more. There’s a goat for everyone! – Or dress up your goat in all kinds of nonsense, from toilet rolls to tea trays. Put on a jetpack for all we care – This time we actually hired ‘game designers’ and we’re told they’ve added ‘an ok amount of content’; events, NPCs to mess with, physics, status effects, collectables, easter eggs, lies, betrayal, heartbreak – They’ve added mini-games too, lots of mini-games (seven is a lot, right?) – Who said anything about a musical? – You can be Keanu Ree… (jk, wanted to check you were still reading) – But you can be a goldfish (true story) Cross-ownership Goat Simulator 3 features cross-ownership integration, which means that purchasing this content will grant access to it on both Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S consoles. DISCLAIMER: Goat Simulator 3 is another completely stupid game. Will this game teach you how to become one with your local herd? Probably not. Learning about real goats with David Attenborough or something would absolutely be the smarter thing to do. Xbox Series X|S Supports 1-4 players co-op Xbox One Supports 1-2 players co-op
