Is it just me or does anyone else remember new Atari 2600 games not being sealed in plastic?

I remember going to multiple shops in the mall and always wondering if the shop owners ever tried out the new games since you couldn't really tell if they were new.

So is it just me?

Atari 2600 was some of first games I ever played. I had a few new ones. They never been wrapped. Good chance they been out of the box.

That's how I remember the games being always unwrapped with little price stickers on them from the different shops. But now on eBay I see a lot of games being sold as new and my bull crap meter goes off. Especially because some of them the box wear and the plastic not having bulges and rips from the condition of the boxes make no sense to me?

Like they say if its too good to be true, it probably is.
There's always someone trying to pull a fast one out there.
I had a few problems with buying on Ebay. Lucky for me, I always got my money back.
