Arcade played in childhood/youth era ?

Kiki Kai Kai btw has a follow up on PS2 called "Heavenly Guardian", which is quite good.

Wiki
Like The Ninja Warriors, KiKi KaiKai had been a one-off work until 1992, when Taito allowed Natsume to release KiKi KaiKai: Nazo no Kuro Mantle, which would be known as Pocky & Rocky for its North American release. Natsume would follow up with Pocky & Rocky 2, and years later would help Altron to release Pocky & Rocky with Becky.

A modern continuation to KiKi KaiKai, KiKi KaiKai 2, was originally in development for the PlayStation 2 console by Starfish Entertainment and set for a 2006 release, but was canceled early in its development[13] only to reemerge as the unlicensed spiritual successor with title Kiki Kai World, which later became Heavenly Guardian when published.[citation needed]

The protagonist of the game's design, as well as the ghost enemies, would later become heavy influences for the characters Reimu Hakurei and equivalent ghost enemies respectively in the Touhou Project games on the PC-98.[citation needed]

In WarioWare: D.I.Y., Sayo-chan from KiKi KaiKai appeared in one of the microgames.

Best thing about Kiki Kai Kai is the music, other than the game is good fun for 10p :)
I know the soundtrack to this game note-perfect... Another one I played far too often...

Mr. DO! (1982 Universal)
the first (and best) of the serie, played A LOT during my youth, from '84 until '86
pratically is Dig Dug added with a shooting ball :)
an evergreen imo, also with his hypnotic Moulin Rouge can-can style tune

That's why I love playing MAME emulator. It reminds me of the good old days blowing my quarters left and right. My mom used to keep a jewelry box full of quarters so she could do laundry and I would occasionally borrow one or two to play the arcade games in a bar next to our apartment.

I remember there was this bowling place that had some arcade machines from the 90s. Used to play Crazy Taxi and Mortal Kombat in there a lot.

^^ lol
i like real pinball machines, but never reached to have a remarkable performance as i would :)

during high school, i remember a great Williams one, near to an Operation Thunderbolt cabinet...
well, the cabinet last only one month until it was removed, instead there was a long cue to play the pinball, great one !

Love Pinball....
I even had plans to add Flipper buttons to my cab design, LOL PINMAME it :)
But I load Pinmame and the only game I ever want to play is Star Wars.....

Some Pinball games worth playing

Obsession - Atari STE
Pro Pinball : TimeShock! DC/PS1/PC/PS2(4 game collection)

"Pro Pinball" in general are awesome games.
Also, it got an HD remake not long ago....

Two of the weirdest Pinball cros over game in the Arcade I remember playing were
Baby Pac-Man. - Real pinball table but it had a hole at top of play area that when you access it transfers the game play to a mini pacman game on a screen above the pinball itself... Quite mad

Mario Pinball - It had a 2D mario game built into it that played like SMW when you hit the "?" on the pinball enough times...
I'll see if I can locate vids...

now im remembering the last pinball models, those with a 'story' and with zones to be unlocked... :)

amazing!
