How did you find RetroZone & what were you looking for?

Tell me about it man. I was depressed when I tried to access it last time in August and realized it was gone. I started freaking out and yelling like mad at Nintendo. I swore I was never going to support them ever again, until the ADMIN said that wasn't the case.
 
Found out about retrozone on that dark day.

It was before the boom booms, sites like emuparadise and Tiz were preserving history. Then everything changed after the before times. Some chose to cling to the belief that those sites were gone, but others chose to accept the truth, that this community is reborn from the ashes anew as a Phoenix.

A lot happen, maybe someday I'll sit down and explain it all in detail now that everything has settled and we are safe and sound.

TIZ - Was shutdown by it's Admin.
RZ - Was built with a backdoor.

There was a staff fight and I was told to choose sides, I made a choice, was I correct? That will be the big question....
This came with consequences.

We saved a lot of tutorials you'll see them being posted.
We saved the RZ 1.0 backup we made that contained all the files that there on RZ before the Nukes went off. And it contained an un-detonated nuke...

We are doing stuffs.
It's all moving so fast that I can't update hardly ever it seems lol.

Just know that I'm sorry how this all happen.
I'm beyond pissed.. I'm somewhere between homicidal rage and woke.
People took the chance to kick us after we were down also and tried to blame it on JaMbo, I have too much dirt on too many people... I just want our community left alone and I''l sit back here and fight till it happens.

came from theisozone then that all happened then was on RZ then now this one. the admin/s here are doing a great job at the moment with the site. ;D
 
It's great to see we're still around.

I think I got to TIZ around 2011, when I bought a Saturn. Read lots of tutorials, had a few issues with some of the consoles that the forums helped me fix. And thanks to TIZ I went after a Dreamcast also!
 
I'm a member from TIZ, which I believe I discovered the site back in 2013, maybe even earlier than that. I became a member around 2014 and would interact here and there in the forums, mostly lurking though. I started with just finding obscure games and dreamcast CDIs, but after I became a member it was mostly the forums I would go to, reading and learning, seeing the interactions in the community. I remember the period where I was getting some romsets off TIZ and, being in the US connecting overseas to FD, spending quite a few nights with my PC running overtime just to download the romsets (lol). I hope with Retro Zone, the community will become even greater, and I'll be sure to interact more than before.
 
as with most people I was part of TiZ and came here after that ended... was mainly apart of the Xbox console modding section.. which is were I will spend the bulk of my time.
 
Lurked a lot of sites, but been seeing quite a few drop out lately, so I'm hoping this place will have a long and healthy life.
 
For years, I downloaded all the stuff I want in The Iso Zone, even obscure ones, see what they look like and if they're worth downloading.

When I first found out The Iso Zone's download links are closed down, I lurked around the threads to see how everyone reacts to that. They were saddened and they're now moving to RetroZone and so I did the same too, and I was suprised to see RZ holding most of TiZ's content. (Which isn't anymore, since they're now remaking their list with their own archives instead of TiZ)

I was just searching for any good old PC games out there, even obscure ones.

i remember the last day of Tiz it was some sad shit all the firedrop links are gone which sucked because i would have backed everything in the Xbox section.
 
I had bought a Dreamcast and a bunch of games from a seller on "Screw-U-bay".
Advertised as having 35 original games but what I got were all burned discs.

Discovered that you could burn CDs for the DC and I went on a search to find out where, and I
landed on DCisozone.

Joined DCisozone February 23, 2011 With a Premium Account as catwacker.

Then on April 29, 2011 something happened and my account and my login password was not working.
I cancelled my Premium Account because I was billed for the month but was told
my account had expired and also I had continuing site difficulties with downloading games.
Still stayed on.

August 1, 2011 Cancelled my subscription to DCisozone - Download speeds just were not happening and the DL would time out.
Got really sick of that crap!

December 24, 2011 - Now theISOzone (?) - Login Problems continued (Hacked?) - new P-word.

August 10, 2012 - New account as 6gunn - No more login problem.
Stayed until the bitter end.

I've always intermittently lurked on DC & then TIZ........
Can't believe what's happened.
Nice to be here, live long & prosper - just like the DC & OGXBOX!!!!
 
I Found TIZ accidentally by searching War Gods for PC on google, i suddenly got the Nostalgia... that was the first time i knew about that place, back then in 2016. Before that day ive never heard about RZ, EMU, etc... I was not into retro gaming that much.
Then one day, not long ago I was on the toilet XD, sorry but thats the truth, typed theisozone.com on my phone browser to keep downloading PC DOS stuff, saw that Reprimed Hoax shit, i was like wooooot? i almost cried my pants LOL then i looked all over google to know what happened, i saw this Reddit Post, found out there was a discord server linked to RZ, and thats it, im now here helping on what i can to rebuild this site along with this amazing community and geniuses Developers and Staff.
