I would be interested in hearing if any members have tried the MX4SIO mod for the PS2.

I tried it with my old slim model and it works great for me. I have a 1TB SD card with about 135 games that is about half full.

I've only played a fraction of them but the ones I have tried work great. God of War 1&2 play great and so does Gran Turismo 4 but the FMV at the beginning of GT4 stutters but gameplay is fine.

I also use the Memcard Pro 2 and it works as it should for PS2 titles, creating a separate card automatically for every title.
 
I've been searching for the most graphically intense games on PS2 and testing them and can't find any major issues so far (I've also tested game genres I don't normally play).

The games I do enjoy play great though, so I'm really lucky there.
